There was a juicy rumor that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan would be working with Vivek Oberoi. Well, people make the best of their doubts and that kind of news spreads like fire! This was for a movie named ‘Tansen’ directed by Satish Kaushik, with Abhishek Bachchan.Satish Kaushik shunned the media off by stating: “I’ve been getting so many calls from people asking me whether I have cast Vivek Oberoi in Tansen along with Abhishek and Aishwarya and the answer is no such thing has happened, I’ve not approached Vivek, Salman Khan or even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the film. I had only mentioned Abhishek’s name saying he is someone who can play the role well as he also has a certain star status and fan following.”

Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stood out amongst the bevy of international beauties at the opening of this year's Cannes Film Festival in her off shoulder white Roberto Cavalli gown.The 35-year-old actress attended the premiere of the inaugural film 'Up' at Palais De Festival in Cannes on Wednesday with the newly announced L'Oreal world spokesperson, Elizabeth Banks.The actress, who was accompanied by her actor husband Abhishek Bachchan, sashayed down the red carpet in the ruffled gown that accentuated her stunning figure.Aishwarya accessorised it with red peeptoe heels, swarovski red box clutch, pearl drop earrings and chunky rings.The actress paired her designer gown with minimalistic makeup and her hair with auburn highlights, was elegantly styled in an updo.Her latest Cannes outings are a far cry from her first apperance at the French festival where she was criticised for her bad fashion choices.Aishawarya, who became the first Indian actress to become a part of prestigious Cannes jury in 2003, said, "As a jury member at Cannes I had the experience of enjoying cinema as it is irrespective of where it come from, who is the maker from which country which is similar to the diverse Indian cinema."

Aishwarya upset as Sonam endorse her brand

Aishwarya Bachchan is hopping mad that sonam kapoor will walk the red carpet at Cannes along with her for an international cosmetics brand both endorse on May 19. Says a source, "On May 10, while attending the brand's event in Mumbai, Sonam had spoken about replacing Ash, an international face for a whole range of products for the company. At the same event, Sonam was welcomed as the youngest member to join the brand's dream team. Then the company folk then added that Sonam would be walking the red carpet in Cannes." However a source close to Aishwarya denies this. The source adds, "Sonam was signed in December 2008 as ambassador for the brand in Indiaind not as part of The International dream team. And so, she will not do the carpet honours at Cannes for the brand."The source adds, "Ash will walk the red carpet with the brand's dream team, including Eva Longoria, Elizabeth Banks and Michelle Yeoh. Aishwarya got to know Sonam was coming when she reached Cannes. But Sonam has not been invited by the brand but is there with her father Anil Kapoor as a visitor." While the brand spokesperson remained unavailable for comment, a source close to Sonam says, "At the Cannes festival press conference, Aishwarya called Sonam's statements on the party day as juvenile and irresponsible. Sonam is shocked and hurt that Aishwarya is reacting to her in such a way when Sonam has gone out of her way to praise her at the party held on May 10. Sonam and Aishwarya are from two different generations and she has always looked up to Ash for her ability to handle the most difficult of situations with dignity and style."Sonam's friend adds, "Sonam can't understand why Ash is so upset with her and is bitching her out everywhere. Sonam feels that Aishwarya is doing some great films in spite of being 35 years old and that Sonam is too small for someone's of Aishwarya's stature. It's very childish of Aishwarya to react like this."

Actress Sonam Kapoor is the new brand ambassador of the cosmetic product company L’Oreal’s.Sonam will endorse products which will target the young audience, at the same time the ex-brand ambassador of the company would reportedly only be seen on anti-wrinkle and anti-aging products.Sonam thinks that Aishwarya is a fading beuty and doesn’t represent younger generation any more.Sonam Kapoor, who stareed in Delhi-6 said “I think we belong to two different generations and that’s why L’Oreal has asked me to be a part of their brand.”At the same time, she praised Ash for her acting skill and said that she’s a great success. Sonam said, “I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to work with her husband Abhishek in Delhi-6.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been losing one after another endorsement but by winning with highest votes she has proved yet again that she did not lose her power and still ruling the film industry. An extensive survey showed that she is still on the top and has the ability to push behind her female contenders like Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and even Madhuri Dixit. Recently a survey conducted by a popular research agency, Hansa Research revealed that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is the most powerful female actor. The survey has been carried on large scale measuring the Celebrity Power in India. What’s more interesting is that in the race of powerful celebrity her father-in-law and superstar Amitabh Bachchan has also garnered maximum votes. Ash bagged over 98.8 percent votes and Amitabh has also not scored bad. Cricketing star Sachin Tendulkar was few votes away from them. Recently Ash was also honored with Padmashree award for her outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. The popularity of Aishwarya Bachchan is not ceasing down at all. With awards and prestigious recognition, she has brought pride and prestige to herself and to the Bachchan family.

I am not 'Sita' in Ravana: Aishwarya

Aishwarya Rai, who is currently shooting for director Mani Ratnam's film Ravana here, said her character is not called 'Sita' in the film that also stars her husband Abhishek Bachchan.
"The name of my character is not 'Sita'. I am playing a woman who has similarities with the Sita of 'Ramayana'," the actor told reporters at the press conference of her new Hollywood flick here.
Aishwarya, however, refused to give further details about Ravana.
"I can't give any details about Ravana at the moment. You will have to wait and watch. All I can say that it is an intense film set in today's time and Mani has given a totally new perspective to the art of storytelling," she said.
Asked if she is paired opposite Abhishek, Aishwarya said they never played a conventional couple on-screen.
Talking about Pink Panther 2, which has released in India on Friday, Aishwarya said the film is a "joyride".
The actor has been shooting for Ravana here since February 17. Abhishek is expected to join her soon. The shooting will continue till mid-March

After Raavana, Ash - Abhi in a thriller

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, the real life couple
, that was last seen in Guru, has been signed on for their third project together post marriage.According to reports, Ash-Abhi have been approached by ad filmaker Abhinay Deo, who will make his directorial debut with Delhi Belly, for a thriller. The untitled film will be shot extensively in Greece, Thailand, Istanbul and london Besides Ash and Abhi, Boman Irani has been finalised but rest of the cast still remains undecided.Presently the couple has been shooting for Mani Ratnam's Raavana in the beautiful locales of Kerala.Apparently, filmmaker Rajiv Menon has also approached Abhishek and Aishwarya for the remake of yesteryear classic Abhimaan but the project is still undecided.

Its said that Aishwarya was supposed to be there in Dostana but she decided to drop out on her own. When asked she said that it was her decison drop out coz she felt that the film was actually based on the chemistry and the rapport that John and Abhishekh share. Its not about her love story. She personally felt that if she would be in the film then the entire focus would be on her and Abhishekh and the main story of the film would be sidelined.The viewers wold start expecting a love story between them and the fun space and chemistry between Abhishekh John would be neglected. She also said that as the movie was supposed to be filmed back then and be her first release after marriage she did not want the viewers to start assuming things.They were seen together in Sarkar Raj but in a serious role but Dostana being a light and funfilled film she did not want to spoil the fun so she decided to walk out.When asked about the kissing scene between John and Abhishekh all she had to say was finally all that mattered was if the viewers enjoyed the film or not.
