While we associate depression and dejection with nothing beyond relationships and career, we forget that there could be other reasons and objects of love and attachment. Here’s an example: Deepika Padukone is pretty disturbed these days, not for Ranbir Kapoor, things are going fine with them. She is upset because she lost her phone!And, its’ not about the handset, but the phone had all her contact numbers that have gone missing now. She had been using that phone for a long time it made her feel quite lost as she was unable to contact her family and friends as easily. Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan’s production house Illuminati Films is set to release its maiden venture “Love Aaj Kal” (pictured above), in association with Eros International.“Love Aaj Kal” is director Imtiaz Ali’s much awaited release after his hugely successful “Jab We Met”. It has been shot in London, San Francisco and New Delhi.The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukoue, Rishi Kapoor and Rahul Khanna.The film also features British model and actress Florence Brudenell-Bruce who makes her debut opposite Saif. Neetu Singh too has a small role.Saif and Deepika are paired together for the very first time.Says a source, “Saif and Deepika are looking fabulous together… the chemistry they share is unbelievable.”Though producers have tired their best to keep the film under wraps, the movie has already generated a strong buzz.“Love Aaj Kal” has a fresh take on relationships that will appeal to everyone. It is a love story spanning two generations; Rishi and Neetu play the older couple with Saif and Deepika represent the new generation.Deepika says her character in the film comes eerily close to her real self.“It's scary the kind of stuff Imtiaz has envisaged for my character in the film it's so close and similar to me. It's almost as if he had written the film with me in mind."

Deepika Padukone wakes up as early as 6 am everyday.No, she doesn’t go jogging to beau Ranbir Kapoor’s bungalow which is next door. Instead she heads for the garden in her building and begins her fitness routine that includes yoga, free-hand exercises, et al. Her neighbours initially were curious about her everyday routine. But hardly anyone partook in this exercise regime in the garden.However, after seeing how diligent the gorgeous actress is about her fitness routine many of the neighbours have now started joining her. Deepika, who loves the outdoors and is a keen sports enthusiast thanks to badminton champ and dad Prakash Padukone, is now the envy and the pride of the Pali Hill neighbourhood because of her hour-glass figure. Way to go girl.

Ranbir-Deepika, only good for films

The speculation about the state Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s relationship continues.Days after Ranbir Kaboor reportedly criticised Deepika’s dress sense in public and mother Neetu Singh passed her off as just a friend, it’s now the hero’s sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who refuses to acknowledge the couple.“Ranbir and Deepika are young, talented people and are quite poised and charming,” says Riddhima. When questioned about whether she accepts the two as more than friends, Riddhima says, “They make a good on-screen pair and their chemistry is fine.” But what about their off-screen romance? “I’ve never seen them together in that sense, so I don’t go by the media reports. Moreover, I stay in Delhi and don’t want to comment on this.”

DDeepika Padukone is reportedly disappointed about the failure of her high profile film Chandni Chowk To China. She's very sad about the fact that many feel that she's proved unlucky for co-star Akshay Kumar especially since the film's failure comes at a time when movies with Akshay in the lead were a huge draw at the Box Office for almost two years.But Deepika defends and says, "Of course, I am disappointed with the film's failure. But, that does not stop me from looking at the brighter side. My work was appreciated and I learnt a lot from the film. I will better myself as an actor."Now she's has much to look forward to and one of them happens to be her next release with Saif Ali Khan and Imtiaz Ali.She informs, "I play Meera, a girl of today who has to deal with relationships. She is a modern young woman but traditional to the core. She follows her heart. Katrina Kaif was declared internet’s most searched name with the highest probability of being a desktop wallpaper. That was a Google survey. Yahoo has come up with another declaring that Deepika has outrun Kats now. Despita churning out a flop out of her martial-arts-flair in the flop ‘Chandni Chowk To China’, Deepika has managed to get the attention that is the stepping stone to success in the glamour world. Having won the most searched name in the ‘people’ category of Yahoo! India, the popularity crown of 2009 has already been taken by her. Following Deepika, were Shilpa Shetty and Aishwarya Rai. Bipasha Basu and Kareena Kapoor also featured in the list. Though 2008 was Katrina’s year, the new beginning shows the changing trend.

Amid loud Punjabi drum beats, firecrackers going off and squeals of joy from the eager audience, Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone descended at a shopping mall here from a huge hot air balloon to promote their action-adventure film Chandni Chowk To China, releasing on Friday.
