Sachin Tendulkar turns 36

Posted by Mohan Desai On 12:18 PM

Sachin Tendulkar, arguably the biggest cricket icon of the modern era, celebrated his 36th birthday in South Africa with his IPL team Mumbai Indians and chief of Indian selectors Krishnamachari Srikanth. The Little Master has represented India for two decades, carrying the hopes of a nation, and done it with grace and class. A teenage prodigy, Tendulkar was born on April 24, 1973 in Mumbai and made his Test debut against Pakistan as a curly-haired 16-year-old, becoming the youngest Indian Test player. Tendulkar was made the icon player and captain for his home side, the Mumbai Indians in the inaugural Indian Premier League
Twenty20 competition in 2008 for a sum of US$1,121,250. Sachin will retun to the field as he takes his team to face the Deccan Chargers on Saturday (April 25).
