Bollywood's most talked about married couple abhishek bacchan and Aishwaria Rai won't be in India for their second wedding anniversary today. They have taken off on a week-long holiday to an undisclosed destination.
"Last year Abhishek was slogging it out in Miami for 'Dostana' and Aishwarya joined him there for their wedding anniversary. This year they were again supposed to be working, though happily together, for the next schedule of Mani Ratnam's 'Raavan' on their anniversary," a source close to the couple told us.
But Ratnam, who was admitted to a private hospital on Wednesday following breathing difficulty and dizziness, has been advised by doctor to rest for a while as a result the schedule of 'Raavan' has been slightly pushed ahead giving the pair a chance to go for a much-needed holiday.
"In fact, Mani Ratnam had suggested he'd start the schedule later to give abhishek and Aishwarya a chance to take time off for their anniversary. But the couple had refused. It's only now when the schedule is pushed ahead that they've decided to take that anniversary holiday," said the source.

Amitabh-Abhishek and Aishwarya will be back after Sarkar Raj with a film being made under their own production company
; AB Corps Pvt. Ltd. The film will go on the floors in the second half of the year. The Bachchans who pride on brandishing the Bachchan brand were initially set on a script that would have Abhi-Ash in the lead, but with Mani Ratnam’s film taking longer than expected to complete the talk is that the Bachchans don’t want another film with the two coming out in quick succession. So they have no zeroed down on a film based on the lives of two aging dons and their quest for survival against the new breed of mafia. The movie is set in Mumbai and obviously Big B will be playing one of the leads. And they are very keen on roping in Dharmendra who has made a comeback to mainstream Bollywood to play his partner-in-crime. Amitabh personally called Dharmendra and sounded off the project to him and the script has been sent over to the Deol house

Mani Ratnam's film tentatively titled Raavan will finally take off after Diwali on the 29th October. The first major schedule with Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan was supposed to start on October 12, a day after the Big B's birthday. But fate had other plans. The Big B fell ill on the fateful morning before the shooting, leaving his son and Bahu with no choice but to cancel the shoot. Says a source close to the project, "Mani made it very clear that there was no rush for Abhishek and Aishwarya to return. Having gone through a personal beareavment very close to his family last year he now knows family always comes first. There was no pressure on the pair to appear in Kochi for the shooting." Abhishek was very clear about returning only when his dad's health was completely restored. And now Abhishek and Aishwarya return to the shooting after Diwali, though there is no Diwali celebrations in the Bachchan household this year because of the Big B's mother's death. In the meanwhile the unit has packed up in Kochi. Ravi Kissan who plays Abhishek's elder brother says, "We couldn't do any shooting because all my scenes are with Abhishek." Incidentally the Big B's schedules would need considerable adjustment when gets back to work. The project most immediately affected is Leena Yadav's Teen Patti. The Big B was shooting for it when he fell ill. Says the director Leena Yadav, "But Mr Bachchan had taken the day off for his birthday when he fell ill. Very honestly, his health is far more important than any film schedule. We'll resume shooting only when he has recuperated properly."
