AMITAB Bachchan was admitted to the Lilavati hospital in suburban Bandra on Saturday after he complained of severe abdominal pain. The results of the blood investigation and CT scan conducted on the megastar are expected to be received this afternoon, following which the course of treatment ahead will be decided, a spokesperson for the actor said. In a statement on Saturday, son Abhishek had said that Big B was responding well to the treatment and that he would be under observation at the hospital for a minimum of 48 hours. While, Bachchan's wife actress Jaya stayed back at the hospital through the night, son Abhishek, daughter Shweta Nanda, daughter-in-law Aishwarya, and family friend and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh left the hospital in the wee hours of this morning and are expected to arrive again. Bachchan, who turned 66 yesterday, is suspected to be suffering from incisional hernia, a recurring problem that has been troubling him since the near-fatal accident on the sets of 'Coolie' in 1982. He had undergone SURGERY after the accident following which he suffered from myasthenia gravis, an ailment of muscle weakness. Bachchan also underwent a surgery on November 30, 2005 for abdominal infection 'Diverticulosis'. The superstar, who had been shooting for Leena Yadav's 'Teen Patti', till Friday, has a number of film projects worth around Rs 100 crore riding on him
